The objective of the Conference is to examine, from a systemic and long-term perspective, the evolution of Italian regional disparities and to understand the strengths and challenges of the Southern Italian economy in both domestic and international contexts.

The program includes presentations by three distinguished international keynote speakers: Deirdre McCloskey, Cato Institute and University of Illinois Chicago; Joan R. Rosés, London School of Economics and Political Science and CEPR; Barry Eichengreen, University of California, Berkeley.
