The contributions in the volume address from various perspectives the theme of identifying, recovering, organizing, and enhancing the archives and business museums of the central-southern regions. The documentary heritage related to the history of business and labor engages the interest of the most significant cultural, social, and productive energies of a vast area of the country. The volume, in addition to presenting and discussing the state of the art of archival and museum assets, describes a series of experiences and specific cases that outline the richness of the available resources. This results in the necessity of a collective effort to revive the systematic collection of widespread documentation, capable of providing new stimuli for the analysis of entrepreneurship and business in the South, completing a panorama so far predominantly dedicated to the larger economic realities of the North.
